Verify an Entity

Accredited-investor verification for LLCs, trusts, SDIRAs, funds, and family offices — each letter signed by an independent licensed CPA.

Single-owner and asset-test entities have published pricing and check out instantly. Multi-owner entities and family offices or institutions are priced by structure — tell us about the entity and your CPA emails a firm, all-in quote, usually within one business day. Either way, documents are uploaded after you begin and nothing hidden is charged.

1What are you verifying?

Choose the option that fits your structure. Not sure? Start a quote and we'll guide you.

What documents will you need?

You'll upload these after checkout. One rule applies to everything: statements for IRAs, brokerage, and other bank-held accounts must be pulled within the last 30 days.

Entities owned by an individual (single-member LLC, revocable trust, SDIRA)

Always required: a current balance sheet for the entity, with a signed affidavit stating that all assets and liabilities are disclosed.

Plus at least one of the following:

  • An asset purchase agreement from the last 12 months, between non-related parties
  • Documentation of a recent equity raise
  • A third-party buy-in or buy-out
  • A recent independent appraisal (typically an ASA, ABV, CVA, or CFA valuation report)

Where applicable:

  • Any real estate counted toward value: an appraisal or a realtor's CMA — signed, with their license number — plus loan payoff statements for any mortgages
  • A credit report from the last 30 days

Don't have third-party documentation? Your CPA can discuss alternative procedures, such as a valuation based on a multiple of Seller's Discretionary Earnings (SDE) or EBITDA — quoted case by case once your documents are in.

Multi-member entities (LLC, LP, partnership)

All five are required:

  • The ownership or partnership agreement
  • The most recent Schedule K-1
  • A current balance sheet, with a signed affidavit that all assets and liabilities are disclosed
  • The most recent statement or payoff for every debt shown on that balance sheet
  • A client representation letter attesting that there have been no material changes in financial condition and no material information has been omitted
Family offices
  • Organizing documents showing the entity was established as a family office
  • A recent balance sheet or custodial statement demonstrating $5,000,000 or more in assets under management
  • An affidavit stating the entity was not formed for the specific purpose of acquiring the investment this letter will cover
  • A representation identifying the individual responsible for making investment decisions

Family clients of a qualifying office only: confirmation that the investor is a family client under the Family Office Rule (SEC Rule 501(a)(13)), and that the qualifying family office directs the investment.

Institutions (funds, RIAs, banks, and other structures)

"Institution" covers many structures, so documentation is case by case. At a minimum, your CPA will need:

  • Organizing documents
  • A current balance sheet, with a signed affidavit that all assets and liabilities are disclosed
  • Custodial statements

An independent valuation can substitute for some of the above. Expect your CPA to request additional documentation depending on the structure.

2Your details

Who should we contact about this verification?

The entity's city and state (its principal place of business) appear on the verification letter so a sponsor can match it to your subscription documents.

3Entity details

Tell us about the entity being verified.
If the entity qualifies because all of its owners are accredited, choose Entity — Multiple Owners above instead.
The base price covers up to 2 entities. Each additional entity is $59.
List every equity owner. Each person gets their own private link to upload their income or net-worth documents — nobody's financials pass through anyone else. The entity is verified only once all owners are confirmed accredited. Price updates as you add owners.
Pricing is $99 base + $79 per owner. Tell us the owners and we'll email your firm, all-in quote — nothing is charged until you approve it.
Qualification basis: more than $5,000,000 in total assets for an LLC, corporation, partnership or trust — the whole balance sheet, not just the investment accounts. A few less common structures are measured on investments instead; your CPA applies whichever test fits the entity. Confirmed from the entity's financial statements, brokerage statements, or an accountant's letter (uploaded after checkout).
